They look at their card, but don’t say what they are. All the children choose a card with a picture of an animal on it. This game works best if there are at least eight children. That way you'll avoid arguments about who got to the chair first. *For an absolutely outrageous idea, you can tape a balloon to each chair before each round. *Get the leader to spin the radio dial and have the children scramble for chairs when they hear a song. *Instead of chairs, you can use sofa cushions or pillows. The game continues in this fashion until there is only one player left. Remove one chair every round so there is one less chair than players. Whoever is left standing is out of the game. Pick one of the kids (or adults) to be the leader and play music as the kids march around the chairs.Īs soon as the leader stops the music, the players must quickly occupy available chairs. Get the children to form a larger circle around the chairs. Place chairs in the room so they are arranged either back to back or in a small circle. The game continues in this fashion, until there is only one person left - he or she is the winner. The leader calls out "Hot Potato" at random, whoever is caught holding the Hot Potato goes out of the game.

You can let the kids play this game until everyone has a chance to be the Blind Man.
